COVID-19 Self Assessment - do you need a COVID-19 test?
Take the online self-assessment if you have symptoms or were exposed to COVID-19. It will give you a recommendation on what to do next.
COVID-19 Assessment Centres - where you get a COVID-19 test
NOTE: Effective June 1, 2022 the COVID Assessment Center at the Beechgrove Complex in Kingston will no longer have a physician on site for symptomatic assessments of people concerned about COVID. Consider visiting your Primary Care Provider (family doctor or nurse practitioner) for assessment.
Testing is available if you: have symptoms, were exposed according to KFL&A Public Health or the COVID Alert app. You need an appointment to get tested at the Kingston location:

Need a COVID Assessment? Primary Care Providers continue to have access to appropriate protective equipment and protocols for COVID assessment and treatment, and the ability to swab patients as needed in their offices, in collaboration with LifeLabs and Dynacare.
Our offices remain open, as they have always been. Your health is important to us.
Please note that if you have:

Severe symptoms of chest pain or difficulty breathing, or other severe symptoms with a sudden onset, please go to the nearest Emergency Room.

COVID symptoms (fever, new shortness of breath, sore throat or headache), please book an appointment with the nearest COVID Assessment Centre.
Otherwise, please call your family doctor. Here is a guide to help you:
We are ready to respond to your healthcare needs. Urgent new concerns, preventive care, and chronic disease follow-up are all important and best brought to your primary care providers. Rest assured that we know how to direct your care appropriately.
You will be offered an appointment based on the nature of your concerns, or you will be redirected if urgency requires. If the phone is busy, it is because we are helping other people. Your patience is appreciated. Please contact us rather than seeking care elsewhere for these non-emergent issues.
Keep in mind that this is a very stressful time for everyone so please reach out to your community for support as best you can and offer support wherever you can. Also keep in mind that medical resources are working to full capacity, from our ICUs to our Emergency Rooms to our Family Medicine Clinics.
As family physicians, please trust that we are all doing our best to provide the best care we can. We are working in our offices, vaccination centres, assessment centres and hospitals. Our healthcare system needs us all to work together to make the best use of our resources. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.
